Video: What is the Blogference? What’s Going on This Year

The RE-Think Blogference exists to start ministry conversations and connect ministry starters.

What’s Your Model?

What's your ministry model? What really matters is how fast you can effectively train and empower volunteers.

Can your ministry scale this and do it effectively at the same time?  This is the major challenge any movement faces in being effective in their mission.

What Happens After They’re Sent? Utilizing the Alumni of Your Movement

miami university footballHow much is your strategy influenced by feedback from your ministry partners and/or campus alumni?

When I started raising my initial MPD (financial support to fund my ministry), one of the first groups I namestormed through were fellow San Diego State alumni.  They helped give momentum to my MPD efforts because they were familiar with the vision and mission of CCC. Additionally, I wanted them to be a part of reaching the campus in more ways than solely being financial ministry partners, but couldn’t figure out how.  Until I read about “the U.”

Solitude as a Path to Develop your Leadership

Before you stick a “Leader” name badge on the next disciple who can share the Four Spiritual Laws without a single mistake, take heed. He can follow the process with excellence. But is he a leader? In our movement, we like to call everyone a “leader.” But then we’re stuck with how to separate the Leaders from the leaders. I’ve been interested in the process of developing Leaders for several years.

Four On-Ramps to Personal Leadership Development

“Own your own development” we’ve been told. In an age of overload we need to RE-think how to cultivate our own personal leadership development. Though I must take responsibility to make wise choices, ultimately it’s God who causes the growth in my life. Below are four proven pathways to personal growth that fellow leaders have passed along to me and have now become lifetime habits.

Serving Self-Leadership

Leaders today have a great responsibility to be proactive and develop themselves. Those that wait for other people to develop them, who are hoping their character is going to grow just by physical proximity to other leaders, or who are waiting for others to provide them the magic skills to be successful reveal that they are perhaps not really leaders at all. This is the challenge and responsibility of self-directed leadership development.

Why Lead Yourself?

Because your leader may not be leading you. Because only you can hear from the Lord AND take action steps immediately. Because there are a vast amount of peers, mentors, and followers that WILL benefit from you taking the initiative to pursue your own developmental path.

The authors this year have such an amazing blend of experience, wisdom, insight, faith, and leadership ability. Cannot wait to hear from them!
